An Evening with Amy Orr-Ewing
Forgiveness as a Healer in Anxiety and Trauma
April 30th | 7–9pm
In Luke 17:3-4 Jesus says “If your brother or sister sins against you… even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.” But what does that really look like in our context, right now, in 2026? The wounds we might carry are deep, and the pain seems to be ongoing.
For many of us, forgiveness feels complicated. Sometimes it feels out of reach. Sometimes it even feels unsafe. And in a world where anxiety and trauma are increasingly part of our lived experience, the idea of forgiveness can raise more questions than answers.
This evening is an invitation to explore those questions honestly.
Our Teacher in Residence, Amy Orr-Ewing, is a globally respected speaker and author known for engaging both the heart and the mind. With warmth, depth, and clarity, she will gently guide us through a vision of forgiveness that is neither shallow nor rushed, but deeply human, honest, and restorative.
Together, we’ll consider:
- How forgiveness connects to our experience of anxiety and emotional pain
- What it means to pursue healing without minimizing real wounds
- How faith can offer a framework for restoration, even in the hardest places
This is not a night that assumes you have it all figured out. It’s a space for reflection, curiosity, and meaningful conversation.
Whether you’re exploring faith, working through personal pain, supporting someone you love, or simply drawn to the topic, you are welcome here.
We’ll close the evening with a live Q&R, giving you the chance to engage directly and bring your own questions into the room.
