Every Thursday night, a group of Vintage volunteers provide a welcoming space to love our neighbors experiencing homelessness in Santa Monica, hosted at The Salvation Army. We prepare and serve around 150 hot meals, while offering a place for prayer, art, healthcare, employment services and clothing/hygiene.
Join us in serving our neighbors this Christmas for a special Christmas edition - we'll be decorating the dining room, including special hot drinks, live music, and a raffle for our guests to win prizes! It's a really special night to be a part of - we hope you can join!
We have 3 time slots to choose from:
3pm - 4pm - Prepping ingredients and kitchen before volunteers arrive (2 volunteers supporting our kitchen lead)
4pm - 6pm - Cooking ingredients and making burritos
5:30pm - 7:30pm - Serving food / clean up / prayer table / arts table / clothing & hygiene / interacting with our guests
Children
Children of all ages are welcome to join us at this event. They must be joined by a parent/guardian, who must be with them at all times due to the nature of the environment in which they will be working.
